About the May 19, 2026 Primary Election

NEW FOR 2026

Due to the state legislature, Louisville Metro Mayor and Metro Council races will be non-partisan elections beginning this year. Because of this, the Louisville Democratic Party is making endorsements in these races. Democratic Party bylaws prevent us from endorsing in partisan Democratic primaries.

Because these races are nonpartisan, party affiliation will NOT appear on your official ballot. We have included the candidate's party here so you can make an informed vote.
